Weddings and funerals: whatever could go wrong? - Live Zoom session
Weddings and funerals: whatever could go wrong?
Weddings and funerals are often high on emotion at different ends of the scale. And, no matter how hard and well you plan, things can – and will – go wrong.
In this 2 hour session, you’ll get an idea of what can go wrong, how to prevent things going wrong in the first place, and how to come up with a solution in the time you’ve got.
Some examples follow – and we will share others in the session.
Weddings:
What would you do if
- the sound system fails
- the cars are delayed by a half hour
- there’s a car crash involving the wedding party
- weather is inclement
- the venue manager is ill and won’t be there on the day
- the couple forgets their rings
- the coordinator of the music is not able to attend
- someone faints during the love story
- and many more . . .
Funerals:
What would you do if
- there’s a rogue speaker
- the funeral begins late and will over-run its scheduled time slot
- the family wants to take several hours to say goodbye at the graveside
- you thought the candles were being supplied by the family but they‘ve forgotten them
- you thought there’d be a side table on which to place items but there isn’t
- there’s no space for flowers on the coffin
- the live streaming has gone awry
- there’s confusion about the order of the music
